Every now and then, you need a trip that’s equal parts laughter, leisure, and a little bit of pixie dust—and that’s exactly what our girls’ getaway to Walt Disney World Resort delivered. No kids, no chaos, just friends reliving the magic, soaking up sunshine, sipping cocktails, and letting our inner Disney fans run free.
🌸 Flower & Garden Festival Dreams
We planned our visit around one of Epcot’s most beautiful events—the International Flower & Garden Festival—and it did not disappoint. Between the stunning topiaries, vibrant floral displays, and fresh spring flavors at the outdoor kitchens, Epcot was in full bloom. We strolled, snacked, and sipped our way through the World Showcase at our own pace, stopping often for photos, drinks, and plenty of laughs.
Pro Tip: I highly recommend sampling wine in France and Italy. Both have wine bars showcasing their authentic varietals.
🏨 Home Base: Disney’s Riviera Resort
Our home for the trip was the elegant Disney’s Riviera Resort. It was the perfect choice for a girls’ trip—sophisticated, quiet, and beautifully themed with European flair. The rooms were gorgeous, and we appreciated the split bathroom setup (perfect for getting ready at the same time). To keep the rushing around to a minimum, we prepped breakfast in our kitchenette. Simple to do when we pre-order groceries to be delivered to Bell Services prior to check in. PLUS - being just a quick Skyliner ride away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios made everything feel extra convenient.
🍸 Sips, Snacks, and Sweet Moments
One of our favorite hangouts was Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the handcrafted cocktails? Absolutely perfect after a safari or a stroll through Pandora. (Pro tip: the churros here are a must.)
Another highlight was our dreamy dinner at The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. It’s as whimsical and girly as it gets—floral wallpaper, sparkling chandeliers, and a dessert case straight out of a fairytale. We had prosecco, shared slices of over-the-top cake, and lingered over lunch like we had all the time in the world. Because, for once, we did.
We also enjoyed a celebration dinner at Topolino's Terrace located atop Riviera Resort. There's a bar, a beautiful terrace with seating and, of course, the lovely dining room. Our meal here was superb with excellent, attentive service and amazing wine with our meals.
🎢 Our Ride-or-Die Attractions
Let’s be real—this trip wasn’t just about eating and relaxing. We made time for our thrill-seeking sides too. Slinky Dog Dash was Jen’s favorite (she giggled the entire ride), and I personally couldn’t get enough of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind—we rode it twice and I would’ve gone again if time allowed. It was smooth, exciting, and had us dancing in our seats. Zero regrets.
💫 Characters, Naps, and No Schedule
One of the biggest joys of doing Disney with adults? You can take it slow. We didn’t rush anywhere. We met characters like Joy and Donald Duck, took daily naps back at the resort (underrated Disney hack), and never felt like we were on a schedule. We let the magic unfold naturally, and honestly, it made for one of the most fun and relaxing Disney trips I’ve ever taken.
Final Thoughts
There’s something truly special about doing Disney with your best girls. No stroller meltdowns, no rope-drop pressure—just beautiful weather, good food, spontaneous joy, and memories that’ll last long after the magic bands come off. Whether it’s your first girls’ trip or your fifteenth, I can’t recommend it enough.
So go ahead—grab your Minnie ears, text the group chat, and plan that Disney escape. Trust me: it’s pure magic.
