Day 1 Cape Town
Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting

Day 2 Cape Town – Bo-Kaap Neighborhood tour, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Cape of Good Hope, Penguins at Boulder Beach
Day 3 Cape Town
Our group selected the Cape Winelands Tour: Take a full day guided tour of three different South African wine regions, including a visit to the historical Dutch Capital of Stellenbosch. I loved our wine pairings of chocolate, cheese, and the local delicacy, Biltong (salted meat).
Day 4 Fly to Johannesburg
We enjoyed a guided tour of Soweto township and tour the historic home of Nelson Mandela. Visit the Mandela House Museum and learn about this painful chapter in the country’s history.
Day 5 Head to Greater Kruger Area
View the dramatic Blyde River Canyon and Bourke's Luck Potholes, and take
in panoramic views of the forest-covered valley from the God's Window viewpoint
Stay at Umbhaba Eco Lodge
Day 6 Kruger National Park Game Drive starts very early. This was an INCREDIBLE day! Enjoy seeing the sunrise over this stunning vista dotted with wild African animals. We saw lions, zebra, hyenas, giraffes, leopards, elephants and so much more on our full day safari. Lunch was available at a lovely watering hole near the park gate. Breathtaking day!
Day 7 and 8 Karongwe Private Game Reserve (My personal favorite part of the trip!)
Travel to the Karongwe Private Game Reserve, a pristine wildlife sanctuary located in the Greater Kruger area.
Meet with a researcher from the Endangered Wildlife Trust's Cheetah Range Expansion Project, a project managed by National Geographic Explorer, Kulani Nyakane, who is also a Field Officer for the Endangered Wildlife Trust working with threatened carnivores in the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa.
Day 9 depart Karongwe Private Game Reserve for Johannesburg
Day 10 Depart Johannesburg for a flight to Victoria Falls
Catch a flight to the town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, named after one of the most powerful waterfalls on Earth. Visit a nearby village where we had dinner with a local family in their home.
Day 11 Victoria Falls
Our group selected to spend a day in neighboring Botswana for a full day tour of Chobe National Park.
Day 12 Victoria Falls tour
View the stunning waterfall and learn about it's history. Enjoy free time in the town.
Our group added a dinner cruise on the Zambezi through Pure Africa which was far better than expected. The perfect finale to a wonderful bucket-list safari trip!
